Shaped by light
A quiet house on the edge of the pines and the sea. Long days, slow mornings, and nothing much to do but rest.

The place
We built Solene for the way a good day already wants to go — slowly, and toward the light.
Twelve rooms, a kitchen that cooks what the day brings in, and a stretch of coast that asks nothing of you. Come for a long weekend and stay a week; leave a little quieter than you arrived.

The morning room — 07:14
A day at Solene
Watch the light move across the day.
Every room is placed for a particular hour. Drag to move the sun from first light to blue dusk.
Why here
Shaped by light
Every room is placed to catch the sun at its best hour — low and gold in the morning, warm at four.
A step from the sea
The water is a two-minute walk through the dunes. Swim before breakfast; the beach stays quiet all day.
Held by the pines
Umbrella pines keep the house cool and green, and the scent of resin drifts through every open window.

From our guests
We came for three nights and rebooked for a week. I have never slept so well, or done so little, so happily.
